I am passionate about Africa, and charity: water's mission of bringing clean water to the people of Africa. Clean water means healthy bodies, healthy bodies means greater chances for healthier societies and futures. I've had the opportunity to travel twice to Africa and have visited Malawi, Ghana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The people and countries are beautiful, but deeply lacking adequate healthcare. The first step is clean water - something many, many African villages do not have and desperately need, and something you can easily help give them!
This November 4, I will run the 26.2 mile ING NY Marathon. Through running this race, I hope to raise $1,000 for Charity:Water. Every penny will go toward building a new well to provide clean water for an African village. This amount is possible, but only with your help. Every little bit counts, and even if you can only donate $1, that's one dollar closer to reaching my goal!
I only have one month left, so please forward this to whomever you think might be able to help.
