Alak Goswami - $3291 raised so far Tour d'Afrique Alak Goswami is embarking on the Tour d'Afrique bike tour from Cairo, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa with the goal to bring clean water to communities in Africa through charity: water. Alak's journey began January 12, 2008. The bike tour is over 7,000 miles, and will take 4 months. After a well is installed, charity: water partners will work directly with villagers, teaching them how to maintain and fix their well and hand pump device, while also conducting basic hygiene and sanitati on classes. |
